Ms. Karen Smith is a Title One teacher at North Wayne Elementary. She supports students both in the building and at home. Ms. Smith has created an engaging environment in her hallway cubby. She creates teaching charts for students to engage with while learning and has students participate in sound scavenger hunts to keep them focused and learning. Ms. Smith has created interactive Google slides to help students practice the letter sounds as well as blending those sounds together to make words. These instructional strategies allow students to actively participate in the learning process and master challenging skills.
