Mrs. Susan Stallsworth is a social studies teacher on the Gladiator team at Chapel Hill 7th and 8th Grade Center. She has strived to bring history and geography to life for her 7th grade students this year. She has utilized Google Expeditions, numerous engaging videos, and interactive games to engage her students both at home and in person. Some of the Google Expeditions her students have been on include the expeditions of Marco Polo, Zheng He, and Ibn Battuta. Videos are used to allow students visuals of historical events, places, and times. Her students love to play Kahoot, Quizizz, Blooket, and Quizlet Live especially when reviewing content. Mrs. Stallsworth also creates “interactive notebooks” from Google Slides that students can manipulate, adapt, and learn from.
