Clare Mueller’s students in 4th grade at Garden City Elementary had the opportunity to research a wild animal of their choice. A google slide template was provided for each student to insert pictures and information about their chosen animal. Once the students had finished their research, Mueller then printed and posted their work on her bulletin board outside of the classroom.
The students presented their research animal during a google meet. Mueller took this research project one step further. She had her 4th grade students vote on an animal that they would then adopt! How great is that, not just researching an animal, but taking the time to help take care of one and becoming the class mascot. Mueller did a Donors Choose grant to assist in making this adoption happen.
